Dr. Argie has seen Mandurah grow over time and believes it has the potential to become one of the most sought-after locations in Perth. She loves the friendliness and genuine nature of its people and those in the surrounding towns. She hopes that her extensive experience in Cosmetic Medicine and Skin Cancer will be an asset to the community and those wanting high quality work. Dr Argie especially wants our aging population to have access to high quality, affordable care. Prior to coming to Mandurah full-time, Dr Argie built and ran the Health Department Licenced ARGERA Day Hospital in Joondalup for 18years, and also served as a Senior Emergency After-hours General Practioner at the Joondalup Health Campus for 22yrs.
Dr Argie has been greatly sought after for the quality of her work, knowledge and experience in all areas of skin-based medicine since she began working in aesthetic medicine in 1996. She is an International and Nationally recognized expert in cosmetic medicine and has been sponsored to lecture and demonstrate her skills to doctors from all over the World. She is one of the 4 nationally trainers in liposuction for the ACCMS having performed thousands of successful lipoplasty procedures over the last 25yrs. Dr Argie was the first doctor to use PRP (plasma) in Perth for cosmetic purposes and still lectures on techniques of injection in the area. She is also a recognised "Master Injector" in wrinkle relaxers and fillers and uses her skill to maximize results whilst harmonising the face. Her skills allow her to get the most out of the products and thereby reduce costs over all for the patient. Dr Argie also created the "X-Lift" a non-surgical technique using bio-stimulator to softly lift the face and recondition skin quality. She has also published scientific papers in cosmetic medicine, sat on multiple boards and councils aimed at education and standards and has been interviewed over the years for magazines, radio and television. Dr Argie was names as the "Lip Queen of Perth" in the Nip'n'Tuck magazine for her skill in performing thousands of successful lip treatments.
Dr Argie never stops learning as she feels that education is the key to being a better doctor and providing her patients with the best care. She already holds the highest qualifications possible in Cosmetic Medicine in Australia with two Fellowship degrees from the Australian College of Cosmetic Medicine and Surgery, and has Diplomas in Skin Cancer Diagnostics, Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery of Skin Cancer from the Queensland University. And she won’t stop there! Dr Argie has an active interest in anti-aging therapies and has attended up to date seminars on the the use of these therapies at an international protocol level.
She believes that the more she learns the better quality of care she can give her patients including a diagnosing skin cancers at an earlier stage to save more lives and improve the aesthetic outcome of removing skin cancers. Her great passion is the surgical side and she has advanced her skills to regularly perform complex excisions whilst trying to minimize scars. She believes every patient, regardless of age, deserves the best aesthetic outcome of surgery. But she reminds us that that complete removal of the cancer always must come first!
At a cosmetic level, she truly believes that every patient is intrinsically beautiful. She works with her patients to achieve their desired results but remains honest at all times about what is achievable. She is always mindful of a patient’s financial constraints and tries to work within their budgets to get maximal results from each treatment. Dr Argie is recognised for her expertise in obtaining natural results but can achieve the “Hollywood Glamour” look if desired. Over the years she has treated everyone from the average housewife, husbands, TV personalities, and even international singers. She only uses the highest quality products and devices and personally has treatments. She understands the anxiety and needs of her patients, having experienced her own cosmetic journey since she is now over 50yrs of age. Dr Argie spends time discussing options with patients to ensure they fully understand their procedures. She truly wants her patients to be happy!
